Students of the Agricultural Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu have again made proud achievements in the non-academic field. Devin Januar Saputra, a student of the class of 2023, won 1st place in the Adult Class H category at the 2026 Bina Darma University Rector Cup III Pencak Silat National Championship.

The national championship was held at the Dempo Jakabaring Sports Hall, Palembang, South Sumatra, and lasted for four days, from May 14-17, 2026. This competition was attended by hundreds of silat fighters from various regions in Indonesia and became one of the prestigious events to measure the abilities of pencak silat athletes at the national level while expanding the participants’ experience of competing.

Devin Januar Saputra’s success in winning the first place position is proof that students of the Department of Agricultural Technology at the University of Bengkulu are not only able to excel in academics, but also actively develop their potential in the field of sports and martial arts. This achievement also shows the spirit of discipline, hard work, and consistency that students have in balancing lecture activities with talent development outside the campus.

The National Pencak Silat Championship of the Rector Cup III of Bina Darma University is not only a means of competition, but also a forum for coaching and searching for outstanding pencak silat athletes from various regions. Through this activity, young athletes are given the opportunity to improve their technical skills, compete mentality, and establish friendship between silat fighters from all over Indonesia.

Devin’s achievements are expected to be an inspiration for other students to continue to develop their potential, both in the academic and non-academic fields. Support for the development of students’ interests and talents is an important part of creating a young generation that is superior, accomplished, and able to bring the good name of the University of Bengkulu at the national and international levels.

This achievement also adds to the list of achievements of students of the Agricultural Technology Study Program, University of Bengkulu and is a source of pride for the academic community of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu.
