4 FORESTRY STUDENTS ACCOMPLISH GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS AT THE END OF 2023

  1. JESSY NAYASARI, a Forestry student of FP UNIB, was awarded the Best Presenter at the International Undergraduate Conference of Agriculture and Life Sciences (IUCA) 2023 in the Agriculture and Forestry category. The event, attended by hundreds of participants from 7 countries (Princess of Naradhiwas University-Thailand, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan-Malaysia, South Eastern University of Sri Lanka-Sri Lanka, Yala Rajabhat University-Thailand, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus-Thailand, University of Garmian-Iraq, Omar Al-Mukhtar University-Libya), saw Jessy stealing the spotlight with her innovative research titled “Diversity and Abundance of the Fagaceae Family Based on Altitudes in the Bukit Kaba Nature Tourism Park.” Her presentation not only reflected a profound understanding of the topic but also showcased her exceptional presentation skills.
  2. YOANDHA AUDRITAMA IHZA KESUMA, the 2nd position in the RAFFLESIA NATIONAL DEBATE COMPETITION. Yoandha has consistently emerged victorious in national-level debate competitions.
  3. SURYA MARDIANA and team, the 2nd place winner in the University of Bengkulu Scientific competition for student involvement in community service and the application of science and technology, presented a project titled “Development of Creativity in Tote Bag Ecoprint and Liquid Soap from Mangrove Raw Materials for the Community on Baii Island, Bengkulu City.”
  4. KEVIN DWI APRIANDI, the 1st winner in the Agrala Fest Infographic Design Competition.

The success of these forestry students is hoped to serve as inspiration for other forestry students of FP UNIB to continue achieving excellence both nationally and internationally.
