General Lecturer

On October 13 2023, the Master of Natural Resources Management (PSDA) held a Public Lecture with resource persons Opera Arnop, S.Sc., M. Ling. From the Environment and Forestry Service, Bengkulu Province. Resource persons were selected from among practitioners to enrich the insights of PSDA Masters and Doctoral students. In this way, it is hoped that students can compare the theory given by the lecturer with practice in the world of work, especially related to waste-based waste management in the rubber industry.

Introduction to the Chair of the PSDA Masters Study Program

Thank God, today we are all present for the PSDA Masters public lecture. This public lecture is regularly held at least twice a year. In 2023, we deliberately chose resource persons from S2PSDA Unib alumni. For this lecture, the resource person is Mr. Operi Arnop, S.Si., M. Ling. In June 2023, S2PSDA also invited Mr. Bursamin, M. Ling, who is also an alumnus of S2PSDA Unib, as a resource person for a public lecture at S2PSDA. His knowledge and experience as a national level environmental assessor is very important for PSDA Master’s students to increase their insight into environmental audits in companies. The title of this Public Lecture is Proper and Simple Based Environmental Audit in companies. On other occasions, PSDA Masters, God willing, will continue to involve alumni as resource persons in Public Lectures, giving lectures, promotional activities, or other activities. On behalf of PSDA Masters, I would like to express my infinite gratitude to the alumni who are always enthusiastic in helping PSDA Masters to continue and develop. Currently the PSDA Masters is accredited “very well”, and is waiting for information on the results of Acquin’s international accreditation. I ask the alumni, students and lecturers to continue to promote the PSDA Masters to stakeholders both in terms of studying at PSDA and collaboration.

Public Lecture Summary

The public lecture on October 13 2023 is entitled Proper and Simple Based Environmental Audits in Proper companies, namely the Public Disclosure Program for Environmental Compliance. Proper is not a substitute for existing conventional regulatory instruments, such as civil and criminal environmental law enforcement. This program is complementary and synergistic with other structuring instruments. In this way, efforts to improve environmental quality can be carried out more effectively and efficiently. Meanwhile, Simpel is an electronic reporting system for environmental licensing for businesses and/or activities. Simpel is an online reporting application that replaces printed reporting that is currently sent to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. “In the future, the PSDA Magister will invite practitioners to give public lectures and if possible they can teach at the PSDA Magister,” said the Head of the PSDA Study Program, Prof. Dr. Ir. Urip Santoso, S.I.Kom., M.Sc.
