Visit of the Deputy Director of the British Botanic Garden

The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, UNIB, Prof. Dr Ir. Suharyanto, S.Pt., accompanied M.Si Vice Dean and natural resources researcher from the Forestry Study Program FP UNIB Yansen, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D and rafflesia flower expert Prof. Ir. Agus Susatya, M.Sc., Ph.D on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Faculty Dean’s Building had an official meeting with Dr. Chris Thorogood who is a professor of biology from the University of Oxford UK. Prof. Thorogood is also the Deputy Director of the Botanic Garden. His visit this time is an implementation of the activities of the MoU between UNIB and the University of Oxford that have been signed previously.

On this occasion, the two parties further agreed to develop other activities contained in the Implementation of Agreement (IA) regarding various additional activity opportunities as an implementation of the MoU, such as student exchanges, staff and researcher exchanges, joint research, joint publications and so on. Both parties seem enthusiastic about developing science, especially in the field of natural resources.  [hdp]
