Organizational Management Training of HIMAGROTEK FP KBM UNIB

HIMAGROTEK FP UNIB held the Organizational Management Training (PMO) on Saturday, November 2, 2024. With the theme “Organizational Moderation and Leadership Regeneration of HIMAGROTEK FP KBM UNIB in 2024,” this activity aims to provide practical leadership skills and build a solid organizational spirit for students. The opening ceremony took place in the GB1 room. It was attended by faculty leaders: the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Sc., Head of the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Reny Herawati, MP., Head of the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Ir. Eko Suprijono, MP., and the HIMAGROTEK Advisory Board, Dr. Ir. Sumardi, MP.

In her remarks, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Sc., emphasized the importance of leadership regeneration based on solid organizational values. She said that training like this not only enriches technical skills but also forms the character of leaders with integrity and who are ready to face future challenges. “Leadership is not only about leading, but also about how we are responsible, both to members and the organization as a whole,” she said.

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Ir. Reny Herawati, MP., said that the management skills trained will be a strong foundation for students to contribute to society. According to her, HIMAGROTEK must be able to prepare an adaptive and progressive generation, especially in facing the challenges of an increasingly complex world of work. “Every training participant is expected to be able to absorb the knowledge provided and, in the future, can become a leader who positively impacts the surrounding environment,” she explained.

This training is designed in the form of various sessions, starting from primary leadership material to simulations of organizational management practices. In the communication and negotiation material sessions, students are invited to understand the importance of practical speaking skills and the right negotiation tactics in achieving organizational goals. In addition, participants also received materials on time management and secretarial work, which are essential elements in the organization’s daily activities.

HIMAGROTEK hopes that through this training series, members can be better prepared to face challenges in the field and make HIMAGROTEK a professional and competent organization. The training will last until November 3, 2024, with the final session being a trial and action simulation that will test all participants’ organizational and teamwork skills.
