Organizational Management Training of Soil Science Student Association (HIMITA) 2025

PMO of Himita Successfully Held in Bengkulu, March 22-23, 2025 – The Soil Science Student Association (HIMITA), Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, successfully conducted its 10th Organizational Management Training (PMO) with the theme “Enhancing Organizational Capability for Responsive and Cooperative New Members of HIMITA.” The event occurred in Room 10, GB 1 Building, University of Bengkulu, and was attended by various student representatives and academic community members.

The two-day PMO commenced on Saturday, February 22, 2025, with 37 participants. The event began at 07:30-08:00 WIB with participant check-in, followed by an opening ceremony from 08:00-09:00 WIB. Zalwa Nabilla Nayla hosted the event, with Quranic recitation by Yunita Ulfa and the Indonesian National Anthem and HIMITA March led by Yeni Renita. The event proceeded with an opening speech by the Organizing Committee Chair, Andi Purnomo, a welcoming address from HIMITA Chairperson Rendi Febrian, remarks by Prof. Dr. Ir. Priyono Prawito, M.Sc., Head of Soil Science Study Program, Muhimmatul Husna, SP. M.Si, Secretary of the Agricultural Cultivation Department, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si., officially opened the event. The session concluded with a prayer by Ragil Putra Afriansyah.

From 09:00-10:30 WIB, Ir. Herry Gusmara, M.Sc., delivered an administrative management lecture and a 15-minute ice-breaking session. Subsequently, from 10:45-12:15 WIB, Prof. Ir. Zainal Muktamar, M.Sc., Ph.D., provided training on organizational management and leadership. Participants then took a break from 12:15-13:00 WIB. The afternoon sessions included a HIMITA-focused session by Rendi Febrian and Rinti Antika from 13:00-14:30 WIB and FOKUSHIMITI material delivered by Dimas Tri Ardian from 14:30-15:45 WIB. The first day concluded with participants check-out.

The second day, Sunday, February 23, 2025, with 37 participants, started similarly with check-in at 07:30 WIB. From 08:00-09:30 WIB, Bagus Laksama Surya lectured on academic and non-academic achievements, focusing on time management. After a brief ice-breaking, James Rudi Setiawan and Della Agustina conducted a session on meeting procedures from 09:45-12:00 WIB. Post-lunch break, Fikri Nur Hidayat facilitated a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) from 12:45-14:45 WIB, followed by an evaluation session until 15:15 WIB.

The closing ceremony from 15:15-15:45 WIB involved all participants, committee members, regular and extraordinary members, academic heads, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs. Revalina Selvia hosted the event, Aulia Dhiya Izzati performed a Quranic recitation, and Yeni Renita led the national anthem and HIMITA March. Closing remarks were provided by Prof. Dr. Ir. Priyono Prawito, M.Sc., Muhimmatul Husna, SP. M.Si., and Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si. Certificates were symbolically awarded to outstanding participants by Chairperson Rendi Febrian. The ceremony concluded with a prayer and participant check-out.

Organizational management training (PMO) is an essential foundation for new HIMITA members, fostering leadership, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills vital for professional development. This training provides knowledge on organizational management, program design, and effective problem-solving. Participation in this program prepares HIMITA students to navigate better organizational challenges within campus life and future professional environments. The 10th PMO aims to advance HIMITA’s vision and mission, anchored in the four pillars: kinship, professionalism, creativity, and scholarship.
