Session 1: Motivation to Become an Outstanding Student (Dr. Syahnada Jaya Syaifullah, S.Si., M.Sc.)
OPT (Plant Protection Orientation) is an annual activity designed as an introduction to the Student Association of Plant Protection (HMPT) for new students. The purpose of OPT is to provide comprehensive understanding about the role, function, and values upheld by the association. Through this activity, new students are expected to foster a sense of togetherness and gain a strong foundation of knowledge about HMPT as a platform for self-development.

The purpose of the session “Motivation to Become an Outstanding Student” was to equip them with the mindset and skills necessary not only to maintain achievements but also to continue developing and innovating under various pressures. This session was designed to help them manage stress and expectations, cultivate a growth mindset, optimize their potential through effective time management, and ultimately become a positive inspiration for the Student Association of Plant Protection.
Session 2: History of HMPT FP KBM UNIB (Nanda Febrika, S.P. and Alwi Abbas Annizar)
After the first session on Motivation to Become an Outstanding Student, the program continued with the second session on the History of HMPT FP KBM UNIB delivered by Nanda Febrika, S.P., and Alwi Abbas Annizar. The Student Association of Plant Protection (HMPT) of the Faculty of Agriculture KBM Universitas Bengkulu was first established on May 11, 2016. HMPT was formed as a forum to accommodate and channel aspirations, develop potential, and foster student creativity in the field of science and technology, grounded in faith, knowledge, brotherhood, and equality. The organization aims to practice the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, realize unity and cooperation among the academic community, and enhance the knowledge, skills, creativity, and innovative mindset of Plant Protection students.

Session 3: Motivation, Relations, and Organization (Iqbal Fahmi Mutaqin)
Following the session on the history of HMPT FP KBM UNIB, the third session was delivered by Iqbal Fahmi Mutaqin on Motivation, Relations, and Organization. The session emphasized the importance of students’ roles in developing themselves through organizational involvement. Motivation serves as the driving force that encourages students to grow, achieve, and build networks. Relations are valuable assets that provide information, support, and new opportunities, which can be gained through good communication, respecting differences, and maintaining connections with others. Meanwhile, organizations serve as life laboratories where students learn leadership, teamwork, time management, communication, problem-solving, and public speaking.
These three elements are interconnected: motivation provides drive, relations expand networks, and organizations become real platforms for self-development. Through the synergy of these three aspects, students will be better prepared to grow, contribute, and inspire their surroundings.
