Faculty of Agriculture students represent Bengkulu Province in the 2nd Indonesian Maritime Ambassador School

Nurul Hafiza (20) or familiarly called Nurul, is a 5th-semester student in the Agribusiness study program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bengkulu University. This woman from Kaur Regency was successfully selected as a finalist from 45 participants from all over Indonesia. She became one of the maritime ambassadors of Bengkulu Province in the “Indonesian Maritime Ambassador School 2 of 2022” held in Central Jakarta on August 9-18, 2022.

The Indonesian Maritime Ambassador (DMI) activity was held by the Association of Regional Governments of Islands and Coasts throughout Indonesia (ASPEKSINDO). ASPEKSINDO is organizational cooperation and partnership between The Governments of Islands and Coastal Regions, as well as a liaison between the Governments of Islands and Coastal Regions with the Central Government and Industry / Private Sector as other parties at home and abroad. ASPEKSINDO forms based on the results of agreements declared by the Heads of Islands and coastal Regions throughout Indonesia or representatives of each Regional Government constitutionally and democratically.

The activity was carried out at the North Kalimantan representative office, the East Kalimantan transportation office, and several visits. In addition, activities will also be carried out in the Thousand Islands from 15-18 August 2022.

On the 10th, Nurul attended the National Coordination Meeting (RAKORNAS) and the 5th Anniversary of ASPEKSINDO, which was held at the Mina Bahari Building, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia. This event was attended by the ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, aspeksindo management, governors and regents of all of Indonesia who is members of the association.
