The Department of Forestry opened an offer for the “Program MBKM Mandiri: KKNT Membangun Desa” around KHDTK UNIB”.

The Department of Forestry opens an offer for the Program MBKM Mandiri KKNT Membangun Desa around KHDTK for forestry students who will be recognized for as many as 20 credits with the program’s implementation for one semester. Students participating in this KKNT program must obtain approval from the Academic Advisor. After that, the students register with the administration staff of the forestry study program. If students meet the requirements, they can choose courses that can be recognized as 20 credits. Then debriefing is carried out by study programs and lecturers of related subjects.

MBKM Membangun Desa/Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKNT) Around Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK) UNIB is a form of education that provides learning experiences for students to live in the community outside the campus and directly with the community identify potential and deal with problems so that it is expected to be able to develop village/regional potential and concoct solutions to existing problems in the village. The KKNT Membangun Desa activities are expected to hone soft partnership skills, cross-disciplinary/scientific (cross-competence) teamwork, and student leadership in managing development programs in rural areas around KHDTK UNIB.

Students take part in KKNT activities in partner villages and are required to submit reports on the results of activities and outcomes to supervisors and study programs. The format and systematization, as well as the form of reporting, are determined by the Department/Study Program. Study Programs can ask students to present the KKNT activities they participate in. The essence of this learning activity is a combination of the points of supervisors and field supervisors.
