Inaugural Meeting of the Marine Science English Club: Election of Club President and Club Divisions.

          On February 4, 2024, the inaugural meeting of the English Club was held in the classroom of the Marine Science study program. The event was opened by Mr. Akbar Abdurrahman Mahfudz and Ms. Annisa Nurul Suci to convey the purpose and objectives of the English Club. The meeting proceeded warmly and casually, and each attending student was allowed to introduce themselves in English. During this meeting, students were also encouraged to confidently speak in English on topics related to hobbies and daily activities.
The meeting also involved forming and selecting club organizations with the election of several key officers, including the president, treasurer, and club divisions. Syahra Khairunnissa was elected president, while Sigit Widianto assumed the role of treasurer. Additionally, three divisions were established: the Toefl Hunter division, the Game Maker division, and the Project Idea division. This organization aims to foster the desire and motivation to learn English through various means, including improving TOEFL skills, enhancing understanding through games, and engaging in small projects. The meeting concluded at 11:00 AM, and it was agreed that the English Club would convene weekly.
