MISSION
The missions of the Marine Science Study Program are to improve the competence of graduates according to the national and international standards for the management and development of coastal and deep sea areas in the western region of Sumatra; to develop excellent IPTEKS to support the research, exploration, exploitation, and management of coastal and deep sea areas in the western region of Sumatra; to develop research and applications for disaster and climate change mitigation efforts in the west coast of Sumatra; to develop and improve community empowerment in the West coast of Sumatra; to develop a network of marine and fisheries cooperation with various related fields; and to develop a transparent, accountable, and conducive management of the marine science study programme.
