Inaugural TOEFL Simulation for Marine Science Study Program

Inaugural TOEFL Simulation for Marine Science Study Program

TOEFL serves as one of the graduation requirements for all students of Bengkulu University. Especially for the 2020 cohort and onwards, the TOEFL requirement for graduation is not merely attendance but achieving a minimum score of 400. For students whose TOEFL scores fall short, graduation becomes unattainable. This condition looms over students, especially those who have never taken the test before. Consequently, the Marine Science Study Program at Bengkulu University took the initiative to conduct TOEFL simulation tests for its students.

The first TOEFL simulation took place on Saturday afternoon (04/13/2024). The event was attended by 35 participants from the 2021 and 2020 cohorts. The simulation was inaugurated by Nurlina Maratana Nabiu, S.Pi., M.Si., the Academic English lecturer for the Marine Science Study Program. The event spanned approximately 2 hours, consisting of 3 sessions: listening, writing, and reading. Brief explanations of each session were provided during intervals between them.

The inaugural simulation proceeded smoothly, thanks to the collaboration of all involved parties. This TOEFL simulation program will continue with the hope of assisting students in preparing for the actual TOEFL test, thereby achieving the minimum score required by Bengkulu University.
