
Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UNIB Opens Thematic KKN Group Briefing Activities in Enggano Island Marine Science Study Program 2024
Bengkulu, June 6, 2024 – The Marine Science Study Program organized a briefing event for the Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) group in Enggano Island for 2024. The event started at 08:00 AM WIB in the meeting room of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture UNIB and was attended by several faculty and university leaders, including the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Heri Dwi Putranto, and Vice Dean for Human Resources, Dr. Suharyanto. Also in attendance were the Head of the Institute for Learning Development and Quality Assurance of Education (LPMPP) UNIB, Dr. Yulian Fauzi, and the Head of the Center for Development and Management of Community Service Programs (P3KKN), Dr. Bustanuddin Lubis.
The event was also attended by the academic community of the Marine Science Study Program, including the Head of the Marine Science Study Program, Ir. Zamdial, M.Si., and several lecturers, including Ir. Dede Hartono, M.T., Dr. Deddy Bakhtiar, Dewi Purnama, M.Si., Maya Angraini Fajar Utami, M.Si., Ari Anggoro, M.Si., Dr. Ali Muqsit, Ayub Sugara, M.Si., Akbar Abdurrahman Mahfudz, M.Sc., An Nisa Nurul Suci, M.Si., and Nur Lina Maratana Nabiu, M.Si. A total of 20 Marine Science students who will participate in the KKNT in Enggano Island also attended the event.
The event was opened by Natasya Anggia Sha Fauzi as the MC, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem “Indonesia Raya” and a prayer led by Fikro Habibullah. The first speech was delivered by the Head of the Marine Science Study Program, Ir. Zamdial, M.Si., who explained the benefits of implementing the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM), especially the implementation of the Thematic KKN in Enggano Island. He emphasized that this activity is a means of enhancing competencies through off-campus learning while continuing the study program’s long-established programs in Kahyapu Village and Kaana Village as the program’s fostered villages. He also reminded the students to make the most of this opportunity, considering that this activity is facilitated through a grant from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristekdikti) through the Higher Education Curriculum and Learning Development Acceleration Assistance Program (AKPT) supporting Independent Campus Learning Program (Kampus Merdeka Mandiri) in 2024.
Dr. Yulian Fauzi, Head of LPMPP UNIB, in his speech, congratulated the Marine Science Study Program for successfully securing the AKPT program grant. He explained that this program has been launched since 2020 and has provided significant benefits for various study programs at Bengkulu University. Dr. Yulian also emphasized the importance of designing credit recognition for independent MBKM activities with a minimum equivalence of 10 to 20 credits and clearly measuring the hours of activities to be achieved in each independent MBKM activity. The AKPT program is expected to contribute to achieving key performance indicators (IKU) for the institution, faculty, and especially the Marine Science study program.
The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, in his speech, gave high appreciation for the achievements of the Marine Science Study Program in securing the AKPT program grant. He hoped that this program could be implemented maximally and increase student participation in independently conducted MBKM activities. Dr. Indra also hoped that the briefing activity for the thematic KKNT opened today would run smoothly and encourage the implementation of the KKNT in Enggano Island to be more optimal and measurable. At the end of his speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture officially opened the briefing activity for the KKNT group in Enggano Island 2024.
The event concluded with a group photo session at 10:00 AM WIB, marking the start of a series of activities that will take place over the next few days.
This briefing event is expected to provide adequate preparation for the KKNT student participants in carrying out the planned programs and contribute positively to the community in Enggano Island.
