Coastal Vegetation Education Program Held at SDN 02 Bengkulu Tengah

In an effort to raise awareness about environmental conservation, a community service team conducted an educational outreach program at SDN 02 Bengkulu Tengah, located in Pekik Nyaring Village, Pondok Kelapa District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The program focused on introducing coastal vegetation as a natural method for preventing coastal abrasion. Students and teachers participated in interactive sessions that highlighted the importance of mangroves, beach morning glory, and other native coastal plants in protecting shorelines and supporting biodiversity.

The initiative aimed to empower local communities, especially young students, with knowledge about sustainable environmental practices. By involving the school in hands-on learning and planting activities, the team encouraged active participation in preserving the coastal ecosystem. This educational program is expected to foster long-term environmental stewardship among students and contribute to broader coastal protection efforts in the region.
