Marine Science UNIB Participates in “Joint Wednesday” of the Faculty of Agriculture: Discussing Performance Achievements and Budget Efficiency Strategies

Bengkulu, February 26, 2025 – The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (UNIB), once again held its routine “Joint Wednesday” (Rabuan Bersama) activity as a forum for coordination and fellowship among faculty leaders and the entire academic community. The event, which took place in the Dean’s Meeting Room, was attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Coordinators, Sub-Coordinators, Heads of Departments, Study Program Coordinators, Heads of Laboratories, education staff, and lecturers, including representatives from the Marine Science Study Program.

During the session, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture presented the faculty’s performance report for 2024. Based on an evaluation of 40 performance indicators, the Faculty successfully achieved the AA (very satisfactory) predicate, with an overall performance score of 93.6%. Of the total indicators, 29 received the AA category, three received A, while a few others still need improvement.

In addition to reporting performance achievements, the forum also discussed the budget efficiency policy currently being implemented across the university. The Dean emphasized the need to adjust resource management strategies to ensure that academic and non-academic activities can continue to run effectively despite the financial constraints.

“All units under the Faculty of Agriculture must adapt to this efficiency policy, including in managing programs and activities to remain productive and goal-oriented,” the Dean said.

The Joint Wednesday forum also served as an open platform for lecturers and staff to share ideas, provide feedback, and strengthen collaboration across study programs. The participation of Marine Science UNIB representatives reflected the program’s commitment to supporting faculty-wide efforts in improving performance and institutional governance.

With a shared spirit of collaboration, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, remains optimistic about continuing to enhance academic quality and institutional excellence in the coming years.
