
Vice Dean for Student Affairs Opens the KBS of the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology
Babakan Bogor Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency, witnessed a significant and meaningful step in strengthening the social spirit of the cadres of the Student Association of Agricultural Industrial Technology (HIMATIN). The Community Service Camp (KBS) event, held under the theme “Enhancing the Social Spirit of Adaptive, Innovative, and Dedicated HIMATIN Cadres,” was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, Sp., M.Si, on 28, April, 2024.
In her speech, Dr Hesti Pujiwati emphasized the importance of developing an adaptive and innovative social spirit and dedication amidst society’s dynamics. “We believe that activities like this are not just about giving aid but also about strengthening social relations, building empathy, and creating innovative solutions to the problems faced by the community,” she said with enthusiasm.
The Steering Committee’s Ika Gusriana, STP, MP, also attended the event and fully supported the students’ efforts to make a positive contribution to society. “Events like this are a reflection of the true spirit of mutual cooperation and social care. I hope that through this KBS, we can generate a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also highly socially sensitive,” she said.
Seventy students from the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology participated in this KBS, ready to contribute to the people of Babakan Bogor Village. They will be involved in various activities such as agricultural extension, providing social assistance, and various creative activities aimed at improving the local community’s welfare and quality of life.
The KBS of the Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology will last until May 5, 2024, marking the students’ commitment to play an active role in social development and character building. It is hoped that through this activity, the spirit of sharing and social care will continue to burn brightly among Indonesia’s younger generation.
