UKM Media Cendekia 2025 Work Meeting: Enhancing the Effectiveness of Work Programs

Bengkulu, February 1, 2025 – The Student Activity Unit (UKM) Media Cendekia successfully held the 2025 Work Meeting (RAKER) on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 08.00 AM WIB in the Student Affairs Building Meeting Room, University of Bengkulu. The event carried the theme “Enhancing the Effectiveness of Work Programs to Support the Performance of UKM Media Cendekia 2025”. It was attended by 45 participants, along with guests including Dr. Hesti Pujiawati, S.P., M.Si., Ridha Rizki Novanda, S.E., M.Si., representatives from faculty-based student organizations (HIMA & ORMAWA), and representatives from academic student organizations across the University of Bengkulu.

The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, the singing of the national anthem, “Indonesia Raya,” and welcoming remarks from the Head of the RAKER Organizing Committee, the Chairperson of UKM Media Cendekia, and a representative from the Student Representative Council (DPM KM UNIB). At 08.30 AM WIB, each division within UKM Media Cendekia presented their respective work plans for 2025. The Learning Center (LC) division focuses on training and developing journalism, design, and videography skills through regular training, workshops, and mentoring programs for new members. The Media Publication (PM) division aims to enhance content quality and consistency by optimizing websites, managing social media platforms, and publishing news related to campus events and student activities. The Marketing Public Relations (MPR) division is responsible for establishing collaborations with campus institutions and external organizations, expanding media partnerships, and organizing collaborative events to increase UKM exposure. Meanwhile, the Human Resource Development (HRD) division focuses on capacity building for members through leadership training, performance evaluation, and internal strengthening activities such as gatherings and upgrading sessions. Additionally, the General Treasurer manages all financial matters of UKM Media Cendekia, while the General Secretary oversees administrative tasks and correspondence.

A discussion and program alignment session followed the presentations until 11.30 AM WIB. During this session, participants and guests provided constructive feedback to refine and optimize the work programs for greater effectiveness and impact on the organization and the university community. The meeting concluded with signing of the official RAKER report and a group documentation session, formally ending at noon WIB.

With the successful implementation of the 2025 Work Meeting of UKM Media Cendekia, all planned programs are expected to be executed effectively and professionally, ultimately benefiting students at the University of Bengkulu. This meeting marks an important step in strengthening UKM Media Cendekia’s role as a platform for students to develop their skills and creativity in journalism and media.
