Bina Desa Program in Kahyapu Village, Enggano, North Bengkulu

       Bina Desa Program from the Marine Science Study Program in 2022 held in Kahyapu Village, Enggano, North Bengkulu, installing signboards for mangrove plant types. Bina Desa Program activities are carried out by lecturers and students of the Marine Science Study Program, namely Ayub Sugara and Akbar Abdurrahman Mahfudz as lecturer representatives, and Wahyunda, Ferdy Gotawa, Febri Zani, and Demas as student representatives.

          Bina Desa Program activity from the Marine Science Study Program held on November 29 and 30, 2022, by installing signboards for mangrove plant types, including Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa, Avicennia Marina, Sonneratia Alba, Xylocarpus granatum. The signboards are installed on mangrove plants found along the Kahyapu Village road.

        This activity aims to provide education and information for the people of Kahyapu Village and Enggano Island regarding the types of mangrove plants in their area. This Program hopes to increase community awareness about the rich potential of mangrove plants in their villages and increase the sense of responsibility to maintain their sustainability. Bina Desa Program activity also synergizes with community service activities from marine science study programs that run simultaneously on the island of Enggano, namely strengthening education for school students in managing natural resources in coastal areas and local community-based mangrove conservation activities.
