INTRODUCTION TO MARINE BIOTA USING CANVA LEARNING MEDIA TO MAINTAIN MARINE PRESERVATION IN KAHYAPU VILLAGE, ENGGANO ISLAND, BENGKULU PROVINCE

Community Service Team from Marine Scince Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, coordinated by Nella Tri Agustini, S.Kel., M.Si with members Ir. Zamdial, M.Si and Ir. Dede Hartono, MT. has carried out a Community Service Activity with the title “Introducing Marine Biota Using Canva Learning Media to Maintain Marine Conservation in Kahyapu Village, Enggano Island, Bengkulu Province” on Thursday, September 7 2023. This activity was carried out at SMP Negeri 18 Kahyapu Village, Enggano Island. The socialization-extension activity material was presented directly by the head of the service team, namely Mrs. Nella Tri Agustini, S.Kel., M.Si.          

In this activity, which was attended by students from SMP Negeri 18 Kahyapu Village, education was presented regarding what marine biota is protected, especially on Enggano Island. The students of SMP Negeri 18 Kahyapu Village were very enthusiastic in conveying their responses and questions, especially the interesting Canva learning media with a creative and fun design and new knowledge for the target audience. Furthermore, the Marine Biota catalog was distributed so that students could better understand and master the activity material well. This service activity can be the first step to raise awareness among students at SMP Negeri 18 Kahyapu Village of the importance of marine biota, especially protected marine biota on Enggano Island, so that they can get to know each other, foster a sense of concern, and be able to preserve marine biota. from an early age, especially on Enggano Island.
