The opening ceremony marked the commencement of a series of pre-orientation activities that will take place over 2 days, from April 27 to April 28, 2024. These activities include sessions on tent making and time management, insights into the archipelagic state, national defense, specialized topics from the Navy, rowing techniques, wilderness survival, leadership skills, first aid (PPGD – First Aid Emergency Assistance), and a closing ceremony scheduled for April 28, 2024, from 4:45 PM to 5:00 PM WIB.
The purpose of this initiative is to cultivate leadership qualities, mental resilience, and self-discipline among new marine science students, in preparation for their academic pursuits in the field of marine science. This is particularly crucial for their fieldwork and the annual learning activities conducted on Enggano Island.
