
The Vice Dean of Student Affairs Closes Pre-Orientation Activities for New Students in the Marine Science Study Program
The pre-orientation activities reached their final day, with the closing ceremony attended by The Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si, on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 16:45 WIB, at the Bengkulu Naval Base Parade Ground.
The pre-orientation activities, held since Saturday, consisted of leadership training, national defense, national insight, and physical exercises to enhance discipline and mental preparedness for new students in the Marine Science Program. The activities concluded on Sunday evening (04/28/2024) with a closing ceremony.
Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si, who was appointed as the ceremony’s inspector, expressed gratitude to the Bengkulu Navy for their facilities and training materials provided over the past 2 days. She also commended the organizing committee for their dedicated efforts in successfully completing the activities. Furthermore, she encouraged the new students in the Marine Science Program to consider these activities as a foundation for strengthening their leadership skills, ethics, mental resilience, and nationalistic values as future leaders of the nation, particularly within the field of marine science.
The closing ceremony concluded with the presentation of mementos from the Marine Science Program to the Bengkulu Naval Base Commander and a group photo session with all attending members of the Bengkulu Navy, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs of UNIB’s Faculty of Agriculture, marine science faculty members, the organizing committee, and all participants from the 2023 intake of the Marine Science Program.
