Presentation of the Thematic Student Study Service (KKN Tematik) AKPT work program: Kahyapu Village Group and Kaana Village, Enggano Island

Saturday (22/06/2024) at the PSL S2 Study Program Hall Building, a meeting was held between Lecturers and Students of the Marine Science Study Program who will carry out  a Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) on Enggano Island in the Assistance Program for Accelerating Curriculum Development and Higher Education Learning Supporting Independent Campuses. The event was attended by Field Supervisors, Guest Lecturers, AKPT Committee Team and students of the Marine Science Study Program who will carry out KKNT on Enggano Island.

The event was opened with remarks by the Chairman of AKPT, Mr. Akbar Abudrrahman Mahfuz, S.Si., M.Sc. Then continued with the presentation of the work program of each KKNT Group, namely the Presentation of the Kahyapu Village Group Work Program and the Presentation of the Kaana Village Group Work Program. Each group explained the activity plans that will be carried out during the KKNT, several activity plans that will be carried out during this KKNT period such as monitoring coastal and marine ecosystems (Mangrove Ecosystems, Seagrass Beds and Coral Reefs), collecting Fisheries Profile data, carrying out community service activities in the form of Tourism Village education, making handicrafts by utilizing the potential of shellfish and many more activities that will be carried out. Finally, there was a question and answer session by the Field Supervisor and Guest Lecturers who attended. Many suggestions and inputs were given by the lecturers to improve the work program of each KKNT Group.

This KKNT activity is expected to provide a learning experience for students to live in the midst of the community outside the campus, who directly together with the community identify potential and handle problems so that it is expected to be able to develop the potential of the village/region and concoct solutions to problems in the village.
