
MARINE SCIENCE STUDY PROGRAM, UNIVERSITY OF BENGKULU, HOLDS PROMOTION EVENT AT BENGKULU VOCATIONAL SCHOOL OF MARINE AND FISHERIES
Bengkulu, November 2024 – The Marine Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, carried out a promotion and outreach activity at the Bengkulu Vocational School of Marine and Fisheries. The event aimed to introduce the Marine Science Program at UNIB to students, while also providing motivation and information about study opportunities and career prospects in the field of marine science.
During the interactive session, lecturers and students from UNIB’s Marine Science Program presented materials on the role of marine science in sustainable development, the potential of Indonesia’s marine resources, and recent developments in marine research and technology. Students were also given insights into the curriculum, laboratory facilities, and opportunities for field research and exploration that distinguish learning at UNIB.
The Q&A session was lively, with students showing strong enthusiasm and interest in pursuing higher education, particularly in the field of marine and fisheries. They were encouraged to be more confident in reaching their goals and to understand that the ocean holds vast opportunities for the future if managed wisely.
Through this promotional activity, it is expected that stronger collaboration will be established between UNIB and the Bengkulu Vocational School of Marine and Fisheries to prepare young generations who are skilled, competitive, and committed to contributing to the sustainable management of Indonesia’s marine resources.
