Promotion of Marine Science Study Program at Senior High School 1 Bengkulu City

Bengkulu, November 21, 2024 – The Marine Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, conducted a promotion and socialization activity at Senior High School 1 Bengkulu City on Friday (11/21). This activity aimed to introduce the Marine Science Study Program more closely to 12th-grade students who are preparing to continue their education at the university level.

On this occasion, lecturers from the Marine Science Study Program presented various information regarding the scope of the field, career prospects for graduates, and opportunities for personal development offered by the program. The students were invited to learn about Indonesia’s vast marine potential and to understand the important role of marine science in supporting sustainable development in coastal and ocean areas.

In addition to the academic explanation, the lecturers also provided insights into field practices, research, and community service activities routinely carried out by Marine Science students. The students of Senior High School 1 Bengkulu City showed great enthusiasm, as reflected in the many questions raised about courses, scholarships, and career opportunities after graduation.

This promotion activity is expected to provide new motivation and insights for the students, as well as encourage their interest in pursuing higher education in the field of marine science. The school welcomed the presence of the Marine Science Study Program team from the University of Bengkulu and expressed hope that this collaboration will continue in the future.
