Introduction to Economical Fish Species and Fish Stick Making Workshop at Vocational High School (SMKN) 04 Bengkulu City

      Bengkulu, November 29, 2024 – Vocational High School (SMKN) 04 Bengkulu City, located on Enggano Street, Bengkulu Market, Serut River, Bengkulu, continues to showcase its commitment to enhancing student skills through educational activities. One of its flagship programs, the Agribusiness of Fishery Products Processing (APHPi) Department, hosted a community service activity conducted by a Marine Science lecturer from the University of Bengkulu, Lita Astini, S.Kel., M.Si. The session focused on introducing economic fish species and hands-on training in making fish sticks.
        The event aimed to provide students with knowledge about fishery resources, types of high-value fish, and methods to process fish into high-value products like fish sticks. With the growing fishery industry, the ability to process fishery products into innovative items is a highly relevant skill with promising economic prospects.
        During the session, students were introduced to various fish species with economic potential that can be processed into quality fishery products. They also participated in a practical workshop on making fish sticks, which are not only delicious but also highly nutritious.
     This activity is expected to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of APHPi students in fish processing, equipping them to compete in the workforce or become competitive entrepreneurs in the fish processing sector.
