
Marine Science Study Program Lecturers Contribute to the Success of Universitas Bengkulu’s Institutional Accreditation (AIPT)
Bengkulu — Lecturers from the Marine Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu, actively contributed to the successful implementation of the Institutional Accreditation of Higher Education (Akreditasi Institusi Perguruan Tinggi – AIPT), which resulted in Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB) achieving the highest accreditation status, Unggul.
Two lecturers from the Marine Science Study Program, Dr. Yar Johan, S.Pi., M.Si. and Syarifudin Nur, S.Kel., M.Si., were involved as part of the institutional accreditation team. Their roles were integral in supporting the preparation, coordination, and execution of accreditation activities, particularly in ensuring the availability, consistency, and quality of academic and supporting data required during the assessment process.

As members of the accreditation team, the lecturers contributed to data compilation, document verification, and academic clarification related to learning processes, research activities, community engagement, and institutional governance. Their involvement reflected the commitment of the Marine Science Study Program to actively support institutional quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives at the university level.
The achievement of “Unggul” accreditation status represents national recognition of Universitas Bengkulu’s performance in governance, education, research, innovation, and societal impact. This outcome was made possible through collaborative efforts across faculties, study programs, academic staff, and administrative units.
The participation of Marine Science Study Program lecturers in the AIPT process demonstrates the program’s alignment with Universitas Bengkulu’s strategic goals in strengthening institutional quality, accountability, and competitiveness at the national level. Moving forward, the study program remains committed to sustaining academic excellence and contributing to institutional development in support of higher education quality assurance.
