Three Marine Science Lecturers Officially Appointed as Civil Servant Lecturers after Completion of CPNS Training
Bengkulu — Three lecturers from the Marine Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu, have officially been appointed as Civil Servant Lecturers (Pegawai Negeri Sipil – PNS) following the successful completion of the one-year Candidate Civil Servant (CPNS) period.
The lecturers of Marine Scince Study Program: Syarifudin Nur, S.Kel., M.Si., Anggini Fuji Astuti, S.Si., M.Si., and Lita Astini, S.Kel., M.Si. completed the mandatory Basic Training for CPNS (Latsar CPNS) organized by the Regional Human Resources Development Agency (BKSDM) Lubuk Linggau, which serves as a prerequisite for full civil servant appointment.
A central component of the CPNS Latsar is the internalization of the core values of ASN known as Ber-AKHLAK, which stands for Service-Oriented (Berorientasi Pelayanan), Accountable (Akuntabel), Competent (Kompeten), Harmonious (Harmonis), Loyal (Loyal), Adaptive (Adaptif), and Collaborative (Kolaboratif). These values form the ethical and professional foundation for all civil servants in Indonesia.
During the training, participants were required not only to understand these values conceptually, but also to design and implement actualization projects that demonstrate the application of Ber-AKHLAK principles in their respective work environments. For lecturers, this implementation is reflected in daily academic responsibilities, including student-centered teaching, transparent and accountable academic administration, continuous competency development through research and training, harmonious collaboration with colleagues, loyalty to institutional policies, adaptability to educational and technological changes, and active collaboration in academic and community service activities.
The successful completion of the CPNS Latsar and subsequent appointment as PNS lecturers marks an important milestone in strengthening the human resource capacity of the Marine Science Study Program. It is expected that the integration of Ber-AKHLAK values into daily academic practices will further enhance the quality of education, research, and community service at Universitas Bengkulu.
This achievement also underscores Universitas Bengkulu’s commitment to fostering professional, ethical, and service-oriented academic staff who contribute positively to institutional development and national higher education objectives.
