In the afternoon, the event continued with necessary preparations for carrying out the MBKM program in the Study Program under its auspices. This preparation marks a step forward in strengthening the educational and teaching experience at the Faculty of Agriculture.

MBKM is an initiative run by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The goal is to give freedom to students to choose and organize a curriculum that suits their interests and needs. With MBKM, students can acquire competencies outside the formal curriculum, such as internships, entrepreneurship, self-development, and other activities that support their professional development.

In preparation for the implementation of MBKM, the Faculty of Agriculture has taken various steps, which include discussions with lecturers, administrative staff, and other related parties. The discussion focused on designing a flexible curriculum, mapping student needs, and developing teaching methods that support the implementation of MBKM.

The Study Programs presented their plans for selecting the MBKM scheme and explained the best way to integrate MBKM elements into existing programs. This discussion includes determining activity options outside the formal curriculum that can be provided to students, appropriate recognition for these activities, and developing guidelines and procedures for implementing MBKM.

In addition, the Faculty of Agriculture also seeks to establish partnerships with industry and related institutions to ensure the availability of internship opportunities, training and collaborative projects relevant to the agricultural sector. It aims to provide students with practical experience and enrich their knowledge through interaction with the real world.

Implementing MBKM in the Study Program of the Faculty of Agriculture is expected to provide significant student benefits. They will be free to set schedules, choose courses, and participate in activities outside of class according to their interests and needs. Thus, students can develop competencies relevant to their interests and career aspirations.

The Faculty of Agriculture is committed to supporting and facilitating students in carrying out the MBKM well. They will provide the necessary academic guidance, monitor student progress, and involve lecturers and teaching staff in supporting the smooth implementation of the MBKM.

With the preparations for implementing the MBKM that have been carried out, the Faculty of Agriculture hopes that next semester the FP environmental study program will be ready to carry it out and be able to play an active role in advancing higher education in Indonesia and produce graduates who have competitive advantages in the agricultural sector.
