The Department of Agricultural Science has successfully held the National Seminar on Coastal Agriculture (SENATASI) 2023
Faperta News: Bengkulu, 29 November 2023, the 2023 National Seminar on Coastal Agriculture (SENATASI) can be carried out according to the planned schedule. This national seminar with the theme “Strengthening Coastal Agriculture for Diversification and Indonesian Food Sovereignty” was organized by the 2nd Year Department of Agricultural Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Bengkulu University and is expected to become a meeting and communication forum for many parties who have a high concern for food security and poverty alleviation in Indonesia. This seminar was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dwi Wahyuni Ganefianti. The speakers willing to share knowledge and information in this seminar were: 1. Prof. Dr. Edi Santosa, SP., M.Si (Chair of the Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, IPB University). 2. Dr. Inez Hortense Slamet-Loedin (Head of the Rice Genetic Design and Validation Unit at the International Rice Research Institute IRRI) 3. Wayan Supadono (Pak Tani Agro-entrepreneur). 4. Dr. Sukisno, SP., M.Si (Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Bengkulu University). Dr. Supanjani thanked all speakers willing to present their research results or reviews and thanked all seminar participants for participating. He said the committee had made maximum efforts and successfully organized this activity. He hoped that the participation of participants and presenters could make a significant contribution to the development of agriculture in the Coastal Region to support Indonesia’s food security.
