Plant Protection Hosts World Class Professor Lecture

Held in the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu Meeting Room, the Plant Protection Program successfully organized a public lecture with Prof. Rosli bin Ramli, a Professor from the world-class University of Malaya, Malaysia. The course focused on the study “Birds Predation in Controlling Molluscan Pest” and was directly guided by Prof. Dwinardi Apriyanto, an expert lecturer in Plant Pest Science. The Dean, Prof. Dwi Wahyuni Ganefianti, officially opened the event and was introduced by the Plant Protection Department Chair, Dr. Mimi Sutrawati. In this public lecture, Prof. Rosli presented the results of his research, which focused on several species of herons that play a crucial role in the biological control of mollusk pests in rice fields. He shared case studies highlighting the success of pest control by utilizing the presence of these birds. Both offline and online students attended the public lecture.
