
Debate of Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of BEM KBM FP UNIB
Bengkulu, Yesterday, June 4, 2024 – The Faculty of Agriculture of University of Bengkulu held a debate for the candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor of the Student Executive Board (BEM KBM) FP UNIB. The event was themed “Integration of Professional and Synergistic BEM KBM Management at University of Bengkulu to Create Excellent Youth” and featured two competing candidate pairs.

- Jutian Aprillo (Forestry)
- Choirul Huda Pamungkas (Agribusiness)
Candidate Pair 2:
- M Hafidz (Agrotechnology)
- Khella Juliana (Agricultural Industrial Technology)
Debate Proceedings
The debate, which began at 8:40 AM WIB, opened with introductions from each candidate pair and the presentation of their visions and missions. The event’s moderators introduced themselves and explained the debate’s technicalities to all offline and online attendees.
First Session: Introductions and Vision-Mission Presentations
The first candidate pair, Jutian Aprillo, and Choirul Huda Pamungkas, shared their vision of inclusive leadership development focused on environmental sustainability and improving student welfare. The second candidate pair, M Hafidz, and Khella Juliana, centered their vision on technological innovation in the agricultural sector and strengthening collaboration between students and external parties.
Second Session: Questions from the Vice Dean III and Faculty Panelists
The Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si., challenged both candidate pairs about their strategies for addressing leadership challenges in the digital era. This was followed by questions from faculty panelist Ir. Edi Sutrisno, M.Sc., emphasizing how they would integrate professional and synergistic work programs.
Third Session: Questions from the Panelists
Panelists from the Student Representative Council and the Governor of BEM for the 2023 period presented a series of questions on issues faced by students. Both candidate pairs responded clearly and provided concrete solutions expected to bring about positive changes.
Fourth Session: Questions from the Audience
The audience, attending both offline and online, had the opportunity to ask direct questions to the candidate pairs. These questions covered various topics, ranging from campus environmental policies to improving the quality of education.
Fifth Session: Questions Between Candidate Pairs
In this session, each candidate pair asked and responded to questions from the other, showcasing their debating skills and deep understanding of the issues raised.
Closing
The debate concluded with closing statements from both candidate pairs. Jutian Aprillo and Choirul Huda Pamungkas reaffirmed their commitment to being inclusive leaders responsive to student needs. Meanwhile, M Hafidz and Khella Juliana emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in building a better future for all FP UNIB students.
This debate aimed to help students make informed decisions about their future BEM KBM FP UNIB leaders and encourage active participation in the campus democratic process.
