
Faculty of Agriculture will hold an Environmental Discussion and Beach Cleanup Action in Celebration of the 56th Anniversary of Bengkulu Province.
aculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (Unib), in collaboration with Bengcoolen Mall Management, will hold two major environmental-themed activities in the framework of the 56th Anniversary of Bengkulu Province. This event consists of an Environmental Discussion and a Beach Love Action, which will take place on Friday, November 22, 2024, and Saturday, November 23, 2024. Both activities carry the spirit of concern for environmental sustainability as well as the embodiment of social responsibility.
Environmental Discussion: “Environmental Sustainability: Obligation or Choice?”
The environmental discussion, “Environmental Sustainability: Obligation or Choice?”, will take place at The Avenue Bengcoolen Mall at 15.00 WIB. This event will be attended by important figures, including a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, M. Fajrin Hidayat, S.Hut., M.Si., as a resource person. The discussion moderator, Albert Farms, S.Hut., M.Sc., also comes from the Faculty of Agriculture.
This discussion will discuss the importance of environmental preservation as a shared responsibility, both by individuals and the wider community. Environmental preservation is not just a choice but a moral obligation to protect the earth for future generations.
Beach Cleanup Action and Scholarship Award
This activity will be continued the next day, Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Panjang Beach, Bengkulu. Starting at 07.00 WIB, the Beach Love Action invites the public to be actively involved in cleaning the beach. Not only that, this event will also be enlivened by various activities such as fun zumba, blood donation, and free health checks.
At the peak of the event, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, will award scholarships to 100 outstanding students. This scholarship award is a form of appreciation and commitment by the Faculty of Agriculture to supporting the education of the younger generation while strengthening relations with the community.
Collaboration and Spirit of Protecting the Environment
The collaboration between the Faculty of Agriculture, Unib and Bengcoolen Mall Management shows strong synergy in promoting environmental awareness in Bengkulu Province. “This activity is not only symbolic but also a concrete step to preserve the environmental heritage for our children and grandchildren.
Both activities are expected to inspire the community and other institutions to care more about environmental preservation and educational development in Indonesia.
