PMO HIMASETA FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE 2025

Bengkulu, February 22, 2025 – The Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Sosial Ekonomi Pertanian (HIMASETA) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Bengkulu University, organized the Opening of the Organizational Management Training (PMO) for 2025 on Saturday, February 22. The opening ceremony occurred in Room 4, GB 1, Bengkulu University.

The HIMASETA Organizational Management Training was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si., who warmly welcomed all the participants of the PMO 2025. Also in attendance was Rihan Ifebri, S.P., M.Si., serving as the advisor for HIMASETA 2025. During the event, the HIMASETA advisor remarked, “PMO is an activity commonly undertaken by students nowadays. It is hoped that this year’s management team can develop new work programs that distinguish themselves from previous administrations.” Likewise, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si. emphasized that “PMO is an initiative designed to train students in organizational management.”

Doni Wahyu Ramadhan, the General Chairperson of HIMASETA 2025, stated, “We hope that by participating in this Organizational Management Training, the participants will be able to apply management principles both within the organization and in their personal lives.” This was further elaborated by Committee Chair Dori Aswandi, who added, “Through HIMASETA PMO 2025, we expect that our fellow agribusiness students from the class of 2024 will be able to optimize their management skills, not only within organizational contexts but also in their academic pursuits. In higher education, one should not solely focus on agricultural economics but also balance it with organizational management expertise.”

The Organizational Management Training represents an important milestone for the new HIMASETA members, as it facilitates the development of leadership, communication, and teamwork skills essential in the professional world. Furthermore, the training offers guidance on managing an organization, designing work programs, and resolving issues effectively. By participating in this program, students are expected to be better prepared to face challenges within campus organizations and their professional environments after graduation. The two-day training program involved all new HIMASETA members and was attended by representatives from various student organizations within the Faculty of Agriculture.

This event is anticipated to be a decisive initial step in realizing HIMASETA’s vision and mission as an active, creative, high-achieving, and environmentally conscious student organization.
