DEPARTURE CEREMONY FOR FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN THE INTERNATIONAL MBKM PROGRAM TO TAIWAN

On Thursday, June 19, 2025, a ceremonial send-off was held in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture Dean’s Building at the University of Bengkulu. The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, S.P., M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Deans, officially released two students who will participate in the International Internship and Research Program under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) framework at National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, for one academic semester.

The first student, Ramadhan Rangga Pasah Munthe (Student ID: E1J023087), from the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Department of Crop Production, will engage in a combined research and internship program. His research focuses on “Expression and Silencing of the BTF3 Gene Affecting the Tomato Leaf Curl New-Delhi Virus (ToLCNDV) Replication and Movement.” He will be co-supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. Catur Herison, M.Sc., and Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si. from Indonesia, alongside Professor Fuh-Jyh Jan from Taiwan.

The second student, Hengki Windra S. (Student ID: E1K022008), is enrolled in the Plant Protection Study Program, Department of Plant Protection. His research project is titled “Exploring the Function of AC4 from Four Isolates of Tomato Leaf Curl New-Delhi Virus (ToLCNDV) in Symptom Development and Host Range Jumping.” His academic supervisors are Dr. Mimi Sutrawati, S.P., M.Si, and Dr. Yenny Sariasih, S.P., M.Sc., both from Indonesia, with Professor Fuh-Jyh Jan serving as the supervising professor from Taiwan.

On this occasion, Dr. Indra extended his best wishes for a successful and enriching international academic journey. He encouraged both students to make the most of this opportunity by building strong academic networks with faculty members and fellow students in Taiwan. The Dean also symbolically handed over a financial support package from the Faculty to assist the departing students.
