The 2023 Hipromater Competition: National Essay Contest
The Himpunan Profesi Mahasiswa Peternakan (HIPROMATER), an organization representing students from the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu has successfully hosted the National Essay Contest. Today (November 23, 2023) marks the culmination with the top 10 presentations, featuring essays that have emerged victorious from the initial selection process. Notably, this event drew participation from 52 contestants representing 23 universities across Indonesia.
HIPROMATER secured its position as the winner of the “Event Organizer Challenge” organized by the Unit Pelaksana Teknik Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa [The Student Creativity Program Implementation Unit] (UPT PKM) Unib. Dr. Ir. Suharyanto, S.Pt., M.Si, the Head of the Animal Husbandry Department, expressed his sentiments, stating, “As winners, HIPROMATER has undertaken the responsibility of organizing this essay competition.” He further conveyed his pride in the Animal Husbandry students for securing funding from UPT PKM, facilitating the successful execution of this event.
The official inauguration of the National Essay Contest was conducted by Khairul Amri Rossa, S.T., M.T., the Head of UPT PKM Unib. Khairul emphasized the need for more similar activities in the future to motivate students to perform better, consequently elevating institutional performance. “Today, we will witness presentations from the top 10 selected essays to determine the eventual champion,” he concluded.
