Students of Animal Husbandry Study Program: Thematic Community Service Program in North Bengkulu Regency
Students of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture embark on a Community Service Program with a thematic focus in the Giri Mulya District of North Bengkulu Regency.
This community service program, known as KKN Tematik, involves the participation of 79 students. The initiative was officially welcomed by the Regent of North Bengkulu, represented by the Regional Secretary, H. Fitriyansyah, S.STP., M.M., in the Pola Hall of North Bengkulu Regency on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
During this significant event, Mr. H. Fitriyansyah, S.STP., M.M., warmly received the students and underscored the importance of their contributions to the progress of the region. The students are regarded as “agents of social control” and “agents of change” with roles that extend beyond mere learning. They are also expected to conduct research that can offer concrete solutions to the community.
The reception was attended by the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (Unib), Yansen, Ph.D., the Vice Dean for Resources of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, the Head of the Animal Science Department, Dr. Ir. Suharyanto, S.Pt., M.Si., as well as several lecturers of Animal Husbandry Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Unib.
Following the official reception, the KKN Tematik students were further received by the District Head of Giri Mulya and the all Village Heads within the Giri Mulya District of North Bengkulu Regency. They will conduct this program for 2 months from now. []
