LPMPP UNIB Facilitate Training on Making Digital Learning Media for Lecturers

The institution of Learning Development and Quality Assurance (henceforth LPMPP –Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu dan Pengembangan Pendidikan) of the University of Bengkulu, held a Training on Making Digital Learning Media with Canva in Facing the 5.0 Era on Thursday, October 27, 2022. The training participants are all lecturers in various faculties of Bengkulu University. This training presented speakers from The Learning University of Malang and the Head of UPT SISKOMTEK, Mahmuddin Yunus, S.Kom., M.Sc.

The training began with the delivery of material on the importance of learning digitalisation in the daily teaching and learning system. Afterwards, each participant practised using the Canva application, a digital design media for various purposes such as power points, videos, ebooks, etc. Lecturers can use Canva to create more creative and innovative teaching power points. Training on making teaching power points is carried out by creating creative teaching power points were inserting a lecture WhatsApp group link so that students can access the lecture WhatsApp group directly. In addition, participants also began to convert power points to flipbooks that will give an e-book display during presentations.

“This training adds new skills and insights to us as lecturers to continue displaying creative performance through digitalisation in making power points, e-books and so on. Through this training, the power points arranged look more creative and good to make students not bored when they see the material.” said the Marine Science study program lecturer as one of the training participants.
