Ladja, S.P., M.Si (Head of the Research Center for Citrus and Subtropical Fruit Crops of the Ministry of Agriculture).

The first speaker was Prof. Dr. Okid Pratama Astrisin, MS, discussing sustainable community service. He emphasized that service is a multi-disciplinary activity, so it is necessary to collaborate with colleagues and students. Meanwhile, service activities involving students can be helpful for the institution because they will meet the achievements of the leading work indicators of higher education. In contrast, for students, the service activities can be recognized as credits through the MBKM scheme. Then, the nature of community service is problem-solving, and if the problem in society is not by the field of science, then collaboration with other disciplines. On the other hand, in carrying out service, it can utilize several sources of funds from the Ministry of Education and Research, including community service funds, matching funds, kedaireka, and kosabangsa, or sources of funds from companies such as CSR funds. Finally, the problem of the government and the Ministry of Education and Culture until now is that there are still few sustainable community service activities, and it is a joint homework to compile community service activities that provide direct benefits to the community, can generate profits, and the community can feel the results sustainable.

The second speaker was Prof. Dr.  Ir.  Endang Sulsityowati, M.Sc, discussing various community service outputs. Endang said that the output of community service is one of the obligations of lecturers who have carried out community service activities. Meanwhile, community service outputs include scientific publications in journals and proceedings. Endang gave an example of the service activities that have been carried out and have been able to produce several outputs, including publications in national journals, delivered at international conferences, displayed at the entrepreneurial expo at the University of Bengkulu, published in the mass media and integrated with other funding grant programs to produce downstream community service products. The last speaker was Dr. Fausiah T. Ladja, S.P., M.Si, discussing the topic of citrus fruit plant development. The presentation of the resource persons was related to the development of citrus fruit plants with certain varieties with sound economic and ecological characteristics so that they can be an alternative to the commercial development of citrus fruits in the market.

The seminar activity was continued with a parallel session after all the main speakers had finished delivering their respective materials. Parallel sessions are divided into six rooms using the breakroom feature on the zoom application. Each space represents a community service topic that will be presented, including room 1: agriculture, room 2: economics, room 3: education, room 4: science and technology, room 5: social sciences, and room 6: health and agriculture.
