
Dissemination of Fish Nutrition in the Assisted Villages of the Study Program of Marine Science
The Assisted Village is one of the work programs owned by the Study Program of Marine Science, University of Bengkulu. Kahyapu Village, located on Enggano Island, North Bengkulu, is a village that has been fostered by Study Program of Marine Science in recent years. Many community service activities by Study Program of Marine Science lecturers were carried out in this village. This year, the Study Program of Marine Science conducted a service with the theme “Socialization of Fish Nutrition for Teenagers” which was held in Kahyapu Village, Enggano District. This service is carried out to support the National Fond of Eating Fish Program.

The community service activity was held on May 29 2023. This activity was chaired by Nur Lina Maratana Nabiu, S.Pi., M.Sc. In collaboration with group members consisting of Firdha Iresta Wardani, M.Si., An Nisa Nurul Suci, S.Si., M.Si., and Nurlaiala Ervina, S.Pi., M.Si., this service activity to run successfully. This service activity targeted teenagers in Kahyapu Village. Therefore, this service activity was carried out at SMPN 18 Kahyapu Village, Enggano District, North Bengkulu. The enthusiasm of the students was reflected in their attention and activeness during the socialization. The students on Enggano Island often eat fish because the fishery potential on this island is high. This socialization was carried out to provide education to the younger generation about the importance of the fish they eat because of the nutritional content in it. Thus, we hope that the youth on Enggano Island will have more knowledge about fish nutrition and can enjoy eating fish more.
