Building Capacity Development: Marine Science study program Lecturers attended the Reputable International Journal Writing Workshop

Marine Science study program Lecturers joined the Reputable International Journal Writing Workshop held by the Research and Community Service of University of Bengkulu on 19 October 2022. The speakers from University of Indonesia held t, Prof. Drs. T. Basaruddin, M.Sc., Ph.D, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Evy Damayanthi from IPB University. This event was conducted to encourage and broaden the knowledge capacity of Marine Science study program Lecturers in advancing reputable international journal publications. This event explored the steps (sequences) to organizing a manuscript, which consisted of (a) preparing the figures and tables, (b) writing the methods, (c) writing up the results, (d) write the discussion, (e) write a clear conclusion, (f) write a compelling introduction, (g) write the abstract, (h) compose a concise title, (i) select keywords for indexing, (j) write the acknowledgment, and (k) write up the references. The speakers also explained how to write each part of a manuscript well, such as the title, methods, results and discussion, conclusion, and references. This valuable information should improve the lecture’s capacity in writing and enhance reputable journal publications.
