The 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day Commemoration Ceremony at the University of Bengkulu Held in a Solemn Atmosphere

Bengkulu, August 17, 2025 — The University of Bengkulu (Unib) held a flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the Rectorate Field on Sunday morning. The event was attended by university leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, and students.

The ceremony was led by the Rector of the University of Bengkulu, Prof. Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, who encouraged the academic community to uphold the spirit of national unity and contribute to nation-building through education. The ceremony proceeded solemnly, marked by the hoisting of the Red and White Flag and the singing of the national anthem, Indonesia Raya.

This commemoration strengthened the commitment of the University of Bengkulu’s academic community to contribute actively in education, research, and community service as part of filling the meaning of independence.
