Field Assessment of Agricultural Science Doctoral Study Program

Field Assessment of Agricultural Science Doctoral Study Program

Study Program Accreditation is held periodically to improve the quality of the Doctoral Study Program (Prodi) in Agricultural Sciences. Accreditation is one of the parameters for assessing the quality of study programs in all Indonesian tertiary institutions. BAN-PT, or the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education, carries out the accreditation process. It is the only body with authority from the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. The activity, which lasted for two days, 29-30 May 2023, was led by Prof. Achmadi Priyatmojo and Prof. Totok Agung Dwi Haryanto as assessors for BAN-PT. The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dwi Wahyuni Ganefianti, hosted the opening ceremony. It was officially opened by the Rector of the University of Bengkulu (UNIB), Dr Retno Agustina Ekaputri. Also present at the opening ceremony were the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Vice Rector for Resources, Deputy Chancellor for Cooperation-Planning and all the Chairmen of UNIB’s scope of institutions and the Head of UPT Libraries UNIB. “We really hope that the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences will become a national pioneer in improving the quality of education, research and community empowerment, especially in coastal areas, as stated in the Vision of the Doctoral Study Program in Agricultural Sciences,” said the Rector of UNIB. On the same occasion, Prof. Ahamdi Priyatmojo noted that this assessment is part of evaluating the study program’s quality improvement. “We see that the existing documents are good enough and we will confirm them during this visit,” said Prof. Achmadi. Congratulations and success: the S3 Agricultural Science Study Program assessment!
