The University of Bengkulu (UNIB) once again made remarkable achievements by securing two MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) world records in Indonesia.

“The University of Bengkulu Achieves Two MURI Records during the 2023 New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) Event”. University of Bengkulu (UNIB) proudly announced its success in attaining two Museum Rekor Dunia – Indonesia (MURI) records during the 2023 New Student Campus Life Introduction (PKKMB) event. The first record was for the “Most Students Wearing ‘Kulit Lantung’ Hats” and the second for the “Largest ‘Andun’ Dance Performance by Students.” These remarkable achievements led UNIB to break the MURI records, and they were honored with the prestigious MURI Awards certificate, bearing the number: 110**/R.MURI/VII/2023, presented on July 31, 2023. The MURI Awards were bestowed upon UNIB by the Senior Manager of MURI, Andre Purwandono, who acted as the representative of MURI. The certificate for the “Most Students Wearing ‘Kulit Lantung’ Hats” record was initially handed to Darjana, the Head of Bank Indonesia Bengkulu Representative, as the sponsoring party. Subsequently, Darjana presented the certificate to the UNIB Rector. The second certificate for the “Largest ‘Andun’ Dance Performance by Students” record was handed over by the MURI representative to UNIB’s Rector, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, who later passed it on to UNIB’s Vice Rector III for Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Candra Irawan, S.H, M.Hum. During the event, UNIB’s Rector, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, S.E, M.Si, accompanied by the Senate Chairperson and the Vice-Rectors, officially inaugurated the PKKMB with a collective ‘dol’ strike, symbolizing unity. The event was followed by warm greetings from the new students, totaling approximately 4,200 individuals. Congratulations to the New Students of Universitas Bengkulu for this remarkable achievement!
