Head of the Faculty of Agriculture UNIB Celebrates AGRIPRENEUR FAIR 2024

GLT University of Bengkulu, May 7, 2024 – To cultivate the spirit of entrepreneurship among agricultural students, the Head of the Faculty of Agriculture University of Bengkulu (UNIB) attended the AGRIPRENEUR FAIR 2024 with the theme “Growing Youth Agripreneurs in the Middle of Globalization”. This event has various activities, such as product demos, a bazaar, and entertainment.

In her speech, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr Hesti Pujiwati said that the procurement of this bazaar is not only to gain profit but also to foster innovation and entrepreneurial experience for students. He hopes this kind of activity can continue and be part of various events on campus, including graduation and dies natalis, with typical student products.

Procuring this bazaar received support from various partners of the faculty of agriculture. One of the hopes of this activity is to attract the interest of the stakeholders. Entrepreneurship is considered one of the essential soft skills for Faculty of Agriculture students, and it must continue to be developed as an arena for developing entrepreneurship skills.

In addition, the first stage of implementing entrepreneurship values is prioritised by 3 core values: courage to take risks, creativity, and leadership. This event is expected to foster attitudes and behaviours that always uphold the values of togetherness.

The Entrepreneurship Hangar Coordinator, Ridha Rizki Novanda, SE, M.Si expressed his appreciation for the success of this event. According to him, the activity is an entrepreneurship practicum that allows students to apply the knowledge they have learned. In a short period of 10 days, the students managed to organise this event well.

This event is also supported by several sponsors and media partners such as Gramedia, Vivo, Wardah, Indosat, IBT, Jurnal Agrisep, and others. In addition to being attended by students, lecturers from various departments attended this event, adding to the excitement of the activity.

It is hoped that AGRIPRENEUR FAIR 2024 will be not only a sales and entertainment event but also a momentum for students to develop themselves and be creative in entrepreneurship. [HO]
