PKKMB 2024, Faculty of Agriculture
On 7-8 August 2024, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (UNIB), held an Introduction to New Student Campus Life (PKKMB) event to welcome the new class of 2024. This activity took place at the UNIB Multi-Purpose Building (GSG) and was attended by 674 students from various study programs at the Faculty of Agriculture.
PKKMB participants come from several study programs, with the following details: Environmental Science Study Program (36 participants), Agribusiness (122 participants), Forestry (82 participants), Animal Husbandry (88 participants), Soil Science (39 participants), Industrial Technology Agriculture (101 participants), Marine Science (62 participants), Agroecotechnology (111 participants), and Plant Protection (33 participants).
PKKMB was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, SP, M.Si., who also welcomed all new students and emphasized the importance of integrity and adaptation in facing challenges in the Society 5.0 era.
This event aims to provide new students with a comprehensive overview of the academic and non-academic environment at the Faculty of Agriculture. Through this activity, new students are expected to be able to get to know the lecture atmosphere, available facilities, and various student activities that can support their personal development outside the classroom. This event is also designed to equip students with essential basic knowledge and skills, including an understanding of lecture procedures, academic rules and ethics that must be maintained while they study at Bengkulu University. With this provision, it is hoped that new students can undergo their study period more confidently, be ready to face challenges and contribute positively to the academic community.
2024 Faculty of Agriculture PKKMB Event Schedule:
Day One – Wednesday, August 7, 2024:
- 06.30 – 07.30 WIB: Registration of participants and committee at the GSG grounds.
- 07.30 – 08.00 WIB: Group parade to the GSG Room.
- 08.00 – 09.00 WIB: The official opening of the event includes remarks from various parties and an anti-hazing declaration.
- 09.00 – 11.00 WIB: Material session by the FP UNIB Alumni Association Chair and national speakers.
- 11.00 – 12.00 WIB: Ice breaking, participant talent display, and presentation by the Dean and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs.
- 12.00 – 13.00 WIB: Rest, Prayer and Lunch (ISHOMA).
- 13.00 – 15.35 WIB: Ormawa appearance, a talk show with student activists, and introduction of BEM and DPM.
- 15.35 – 16.30 WIB: Presentation of material in Resources and Student Affairs, ending with preparations for going home.
Day Two – Thursday, August 8, 2024:
- 06.30 – 07.30 WIB: Participants and group parade registration at the PKM Building.
- 07.30 – 08.30 WIB: Participants’ talent display and introduction of the Head of HIMA.
- 08.30 – 12.30 WIB: Visit each study program for an introduction to study programs and academic services.
- 12.30 – 13.30 WIB: ISHOMA.
- 13.30 – 15.20 WIB: Appearance of each HIMA at the Faculty of Agriculture.
- 15.20 – 16.05 WIB: Announcement of various best categories such as best PK, best group and best participant talent.
- 16.05 – 16.45 WIB: Closing the event with remarks from the Dean/Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and releasing balloons as a symbol of closing the event.
It is hoped that this PKKMB will build the enthusiasm and integrity of new students to face challenges in the Society 5.0 era by the theme: “Optimizing Student Integrity Values in Society Era 5.0 to Create a Harmonious Agricultural Faculty”.
