107th Graduation Thesis Competition of the Faculty of Agriculture of UNIB
Bengkulu, August 28, 2024—The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (Faperta UNIB), has successfully held a Thesis Competition in the framework of the 107th Graduation. Twenty-five graduates from various study programs in the faculty attended the event, which took place on August 28, 2024. The event became an academic achievement event for graduates who were ready to present their research results in front of the jury.
The competition participants came from eight study programs:
- Agribusiness Study Program
- Agroecotechnology Study Program
- Soil Science Study Program
- Forestry Study Program
- Animal Husbandry Study Program
- Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program
- Marine Science Study Program
- Plant Protection Study Program
This competition is judged by a panel of judges consisting of:
- Prof. Dr. Ir. Endang Sulistyowati, MSc
- Dr. Ir. Rustikawati, M.Si
- Dr. Apri Andani, SP., M.Si
At the event’s opening, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si., delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of this competition as part of efforts to improve academic quality and encourage graduates to continue to excel in the professional world.
This Thesis Competition is a place for graduates to show the results of their research that they have worked on earnestly. This is the first step to applying the knowledge that has been learned and making a real contribution to society,” said Dr. Hesti in her speech.
The number of participants in this year’s thesis competition reached 25, all of whom were the best graduates from each study program. They were selected strictly at the study program level before finally competing at the faculty level.
One of the most anticipated moments is the presentation of the first Winner of the Thesis Competition, which will be held during the 107th Faperta Graduation. This presentation is expected to inspire other students and show the quality of research produced by UNIB Faperta graduates. With the end of this competition, the Faculty of Agriculture, UNIB hopes that this good academic tradition can continue and further strengthen the reputation of Faperta as one of the leading faculties in the field of agriculture.
