
HIMASETA KBS Successfully Held in Sumber Urip Village, Rejang Lebong
Bengkulu—HIMASETA successfully held a three-day Social Service Camp (KBS) in Sumber Urip Village, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency, from August 30 to September 1, 2024. 141 participants attended, and 40 committees supported the activity.
The opening ceremony, which was held on Friday, August 30, 2024, was lively and full of enthusiasm. Present at the opening ceremony was the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si., who gave a warm welcome to all participants. In addition, the Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics, Nola Windirah, SP., M.Si., and the Advisory Board of HIMASETA, Dr. Zulkarnain Yuliarso, M.Si., were present.
In her remarks, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati expressed her high appreciation for the enthusiasm and commitment of the students involved in this activity. “Activities like this are critical to build the character and social spirit of students. Through KBS, students can learn to interact with the community and understand the social realities in the field,” she said.
KBS HIMASETA carried out various social activities this time that aimed to directly benefit the people of Sumber Urip Village. Some of the activities carried out included socializing elementary school students, mutual cooperation, and cooking competitions involving villagers.
At the end of the activity, the committee and participants held a closing ceremony at the Sumber Urip Village Hall. This event was filled with the distribution of prizes for the winners of the competition and the election of the President of the HIMASETA Class. This activity is expected to have a positive impact on the people of Sumber Urip Village and increase solidarity among students.
With the end of KBS HIMASETA, the relationship between students and the surrounding community will be closer, and students can take many valuable lessons that will be useful for their self-development in the future.
