Welcoming New Students of HIMAGROTEK 2024

Bengkulu, September 21, 2024—In the series of Welcoming New Students (PMBA), HIMAGROTEK was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Cultivation, Prof. Dr. Ir. Reny Herawati, MP. In her remarks, Prof. Reny appreciated the enthusiasm of the new students and emphasized the importance of solidarity and forming a strong character in facing the academic world.

Ir. Eko Suprijono, MP, Head of the Agrotechnology Study Program, attended this event and also spoke about the importance of balancing organizational and academic activities. “Sharpening abilities outside of academics through organizations will train time management and leadership skills that will be very useful for you in the future,” said Ir. Eko.

In addition, the HIMAGROTEK Advisory Board, Prof. Dr. Fahrurrozi, MSc, and Dr. Ir. Sumardi, MP, were also present to motivate the new students. Prof. Fahrurrozi reminded me of the importance of enthusiasm for learning and full dedication to lecture activities. Dr. Sumardi added the importance of active student participation in various activities organized by HIMAGROTEK to improve social skills and cooperation.

After a series of remarks, the event continued with various activities aimed at introducing new students to the academic and organizational environment at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu. This two-day event is expected to provide valuable experience and strengthen bonds among new students.

With the theme “Increasing Solidarity and Forming a STRONG Character through PMBA HIMAGROTEK 2024,” this event emphasized the importance of developing strong character and solidarity in facing the challenges of the world of college.
