
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE STUDENTS WIN THE UNIB STUDENT SCIENTIFIC WEEK CHAMPIONSHIP AND BEST BELMAWA PROGRAM
The University of Bengkulu (UNIB) once again presented a brilliant achievement through the 2024 Student Scientific Week (PIM) and an award for the Best BELMAWA Program Implementation Team. FP UNIB students have demonstrated extraordinary creativity and dedication through research, entrepreneurship, and community service, which have had a broad impact. The following are the Groups and Student Organizations from the Faculty of Agriculture that succeeded in becoming champions in this category:
Runner up: PKM-K (Student Creativity Program for Entrepreneurship) Competition

- Project Title : Eco-Pest: Organic Pesticides from Kenikir Leaf Extract and Nona Leaf Extract as an Environmentally Friendly Alternative
The project aims to provide an environmentally friendly solution for pest control. By utilizing natural materials such as kenikir and nona leaves, the Hendra Pijaya team has succeeded in developing an organic pesticide product that has the potential to reduce the use of hazardous chemicals in agriculture.

- Project Title : Empowerment of KTH Maju Bersama for Native Tree Species Restoration Efforts, Pohon Tenam, through Nursery Assistance and Foster Tree Scheme
The project focuses on restoring native tree species, especially the Tenam tree, by empowering Forest Farmer Groups (KTH). Through intensive mentoring and a foster tree scheme, the Ririn Julita Sari team helps promote environmental conservation while improving the welfare of local communities.

- Activity Title : Mentoring of One-Flow Coffee Business and Coffee Skin Biobriquettes with Omnichannel Marketing in Tebat Pulau Village for the Welfare of Forest Farmers

This project aims to assist coffee farmers in Tebat Pulau Village develop coffee businesses with an integrated omnichannel marketing system. By utilizing bio briquettes from coffee skins as an environmentally friendly energy alternative, the Wahyu Firmansyah team focuses on the welfare of forest farmers through the sustainable use of natural resources.

- Activity Title : Besuretic Batik Besurek for Your Daily Outfits

This activity focuses on community empowerment through training in making Bengkulu’s signature besurek batik, which is processed into everyday fashion products. This project preserves local culture and opens up new economic opportunities for the local community.
