Assoc. Prof. Dr. Indra Cahyadinata Visits Agriculture Internship Students at RIMOA During ICIST 2024: Encouraging Future Success

During the 12th International Conference on Integration of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development (ICIST 2024) in Chanthaburi, Thailand, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Indra Cahyadinata, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at UNIB, took the opportunity to visit two students currently interning at the Research Institute of Modern Agriculture (RIMOA) at KMITL. The students, Andika (Agroecotechnology Study Program) and Puja (Soil Science program), are conducting research in collaboration with Indonesian and Thai advisors.

Andika is conducting research on The Effect of Bio-Organic Fertilizer Concentration/Dosage on the Growth and Yield of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) and Inspection for Organic Standards, with Indonesian advisors Prof. Ir. Nanik Setyowati, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Wuri Prameswari, S.P., M.Si, as well as Thai advisors Prof. Dr. Kasem Soytong, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr. Jiaojiao Song, M.Sc., Ph.D. Meanwhile, Puja is researching Isolation and Identification of Soil Microbial Communities Across Different Land Use Types and Screening for Enzymatic Properties and Bioremediation, with Indonesian advisors Prof. Ir. Bandi Hermawan, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Maulana Insanul Kamil, S.P., M.P., and Thai advisors Prof. Dr. Kasem Soytong, M.Sc., Ph.D., and Dr. Jiaojiao Song, M.Sc., Ph.D.

Dr. Indra encouraged the students to continue their hard work and perseverance, emphasizing that successful internships could open doors to Master’s programs at KMITL. The students expressed their happiness at meeting their Indonesian advisors and the Dean, and they shared that their internship experience has been going smoothly so far. Dr. Indra hopes that this internship program will continue to grow, with more students involved in the future.
